Be enchanted by glass
Take on the challenge of cutting glass and bending lead according to your own design during a stained glass workshop.
You will proudly go home with your own stained glass window at the end of the day.
The workshop will take place at Atelier Forrier where you will receive professional guidance.

What will you learn during the stained glass workshop?
During the workshop Charlotte will guide you from A to Z in creating your own stained glass window. Each group consists of a maximum of 6 people. This guarantees good, individual guidance. This way, each participant learns the basic principles of stained glass step by step. The workshop lasts from 9am to 5pm, this may extend to 5:30pm at the latest.
• Step 1: Designing a stained-glass window, starting from your own idea. No inspiration? Look around on Google or on Atelier Forrier’s social media. Bring some examples with you. During the day, we will scrap what doesn’t fit.
Your piece will be the size of an A4 paper (21cm wide x 30cm high). Note: if you’re not yet experienced in cutting glass and/or lead, try to keep it simple. (Maximum 8 glass pieces and 1 curved line. Circles are for advanced students).
• Step 2: Choosing the glass, starting from the various textures and colours.
• Step 3: Cutting the glass to size via moulds.
• Step 4: Learning how to handle lead and assemble your stained glass window.
• Step 5: Solder the lead and polish your finished stained glass window.
It will be a well-rounded day, full of creativity, perseverance and wonder!
Note: if pregnant and/or breastfeeding, it is not recommended to attend a workshop.
Minimum age: 12.
