Stained-glass course
Do you find the scope of a workshop too limited?
Or are you ready for a bigger challenge?
During this course, you’ll work at your own pace
on your own personal stained-glass project.
You will receive professional support throughout the entire process
by Charlotte from Atelier Forrier for your project
to work out in detail from A to Z.
How does the basic training course work?
Book your preferred evening via the booking calendar.
- The course always takes place on Tuesday evenings
- Start time: 18:00
- End time: 9.30 pm
- Please ensure you adhere to the start and end times
Practical information
- Venue: Atelier Forrier — 42 Pasteurstraat, Anderlecht
- Maximum of 6 people per evening
- You can make use of all the work materials,
except for lead and glass - No prior knowledge required
- Brussels-South is about an 8-minute walk from the studio
- There is a car park behind the blue gate,
but access can sometimes be obstructed by neighbours - If the blue gate is blocked:
Give Charlotte a ring or give her a call on 0478 40 94 31 - Your project and materials can be temporarily
to be stored in the workshop - Assignments are kept for a maximum of one month
- Atelier Forrier accepts no liability
for theft or damage - You can order a window unit at a discounted rate
- Price: €15 per hour,
Bookable for 3.5-hour evenings - Duration of the course:
until your personal project is finished

This course is not open to:
- Pregnant women
- Women who are breastfeeding
- Women who are planning to become pregnant soon
This is due to possible exposure to lead.

- Glass-breaking and glass-crushing tool
- Circular glass cutter for cutting circles indoors and outdoors
- Cutting slats and cutting hooks
- Kristal-type grinding machine
- Soldering irons and flux
- Cutting and work tables
- Glass from the shard boxes
- Tin solder
- UV adhesive for bonding glass
- All sorts of cleaning products
- 1 drink from the bar
- Water is included for the whole evening
Not included
Lead and glass are not included.
You are welcome to buy these yourself and bring them with you,
or purchases made in the studio.
What does the glazing package include?
A glass pack contains 14 or 28 glass sheets measuring 30 × 30 cm.
A pack of 28 plates costs €323.05 including VAT and contains:
- 4 × transparent with a textured finish
- 4 × shades of amber
- 2 × yellow
- 2 × orange
- 4 × green
- 4 × blue
- 3 × red
- 3 × purple
- 2 × pink
- 1 × white
- 1 × black
What techniques can you learn?
- Glass cutting and glass grinding
- Working with different devices
and hand tools - Creating glass collages using UV adhesive techniques
- Creating art for its own sake and experimenting with glass
Which techniques are not possible?
- Hot glass techniques using kilns or heating equipment
- Slumpen, hotpot, pâte-de-verre,
glassblowing and glass melting - Stained-glass designs that need to be fired
- Working with contours, grisailles
or oven-cured glass paints
