Be enchanted by glass!

Take on the challenge of cutting glass and bending lead according to your own creation during a stained-glass workshop.

You'll go home at the end of the day proud of your very own stained-glass window.

The workshop will be held at Atelier Forrier, where you will receive professional guidance.

What will you learn during the stained-glass workshop?

During the workshop, Charlotte will guide you through the creation of your own stained-glass window from start to finish. Each group consists of a maximum of 6 people, ensuring you receive excellent, individual guidance. This way, every participant will learn the basic principles of stained glass step by step. The workshop starts at 9 am and finishes at 5 pm, with a possible extension until 5:30 pm.

Step 1: Designing a stained-glass window, starting from your own idea. No inspiration? Have a look on the World Wide Web or on the social media of Atelier Forrier. Bring a few examples with you. Throughout the day, we'll cross out what doesn't fit.

Your workpiece will be A4 size (21cm wide x 30cm high). Please note: if you have no experience of cutting glass and/or lead, try to keep it simple. (Maximum 10 glass pieces and 1 to 2 curved lines. Circles are for advanced users.)

Step 2: Choosing the glass, based on the various textures and colours.
Step 3: Cutting the glass to size using templates.
Step 4: Learning how to work with lead and assembling your stained-glass window.
Step 5: Solder the lead and polish your finished stained-glass window.

So it will be a fully packed day, full of creativity, perseverance and wonder!

Please note: if you are pregnant and/or breastfeeding, it is not recommended to attend a stained glass workshop.
Minimum age: 12 years

You are getting 155 euros A day as a glass artist at Atelier Forrier.

The workshop includes:
• Hand-designed stained glass, A4 size.
All the necessary materials.
Coffee, tea and water.
A small group of a maximum of 6 people.
